Rare Vintage Tin Battery-Op Jungle Jumbo Toy wt Remote,+ Teddy Roosevelt, B-C Toys, Japan. 1950’s. EXiBA nice rare vintage tinplate battery-operated Jungle Jumbo toy with remote control and detachable Teddy Roosevelt hunter figure, made in Japan by the B-C Toys Co. in the 1960’sand with the original box.The toy is in excellent working condition with little playwear, the fur and clothes are brightly coloured and the remote battery box is clean and free from rust. When batteries are inserted and the toy is switched on, one remote button makes the elephant walk forward with lighted eyes and moving ears and tail, andpressing the other button makes the elephants eyes light and the Teddy Roosevelt figure spin around and make a sound like he is firing his rifle. The latter operation occasionally sticks and just needs a bit of help to start him turning around. It measures 10 inches long and is fully marked on the back of the plastic figure and the lid of the original box with Made in Japan. The box is in good to very goodcondition with creases, is marked with Every Day is a fun day with B.C. Toys! and also has the operating instructions on the 2 sides.A rare toy that hardly comes up for sale in any conditionand would make a great addition to any tinplate, battery toy or animal collection.
